Description

The Trojanites feature veteran vocalists and musicians whose backgrounds include respected groups such as The Revivers, The Debonaires, Mobtown, Arise Roots, The Untouchables, The Lions, Breakestra, and others. Among the featured voices is Tony Greene, a powerful soul and rocksteady vocalist who has served as a lead singer with The Revivers and The Debonaires. His musical approach draws heavily from classic Jamaican soul and American sweet soul traditions. Malik Moore is another prominent Trojanites vocalist whose career has included work with The Lions, Mobtown, Breakestra, The Bullets and The Trojanites, bringing a distinctive Southern California soul and reggae sensibility to the group. The Trojanites specialize in the sounds that connect generations: traditional rocksteady, early reggae, ska, sweet soul and skinhead reggae, performed by musicians who understand this music from both a historical and live-performance perspective.
