Interzone EP

Description

Transylvania/Budapest-based label FIKTIV returns with its third release, Interzone, a split EP bringing together the distinct sonic visions of Kvrk and mar.c. Two approaches converge somewhere between hypnotic grooves, atmospheric textures and psychedelic soundscapes. Opening the EP, Kvrk’s ‘Collapse’ unfolds through trippy synth lines and swirling FX textures, moving through a dark, hazy atmosphere with a pulsating bassline underneath. marc's ‘Vibration’ is a peak time weapon for both clubs and festivals, with a rolling bassline and raw drums followed by a mysterious vocal and amplified guitar lead. On the flip, Kvrk’s ‘Symbiose’ layers atmospheric synths and spacious pads over a groovy bassline, which transforms halfway through, shifting the track into a new dimension. mar.c’s ‘Anti Trust’ closes the EP with a high-energy, mesmerising mood, where a subtle 90s influence meets a sublime vocal drifting through the track.
