Happy Birthday

Description

Theo Alexander & Qow return with Happy Birthday, their second collaborative album and the debut release on lowercase discourse, a new contemporary music label based in amsterdam run by Hala Namer. built from buried fragments of their live performances and recycled across multiple iterations, Happy Birthday extends their work as both a narrative composition and a series of distinct sonic moments. the record sees the duo push deeper into vocal experimentation, intimate electronics meeting mournful ballads, spatial ambience, drawing contributions from Otteswed, MrF13, Adam Radż, Fae Baestia, and Nadah El Shazly. It moves between the enigmatic and the infectiously lyrical, layering rich ambient textures with a distinct sense of songwriting, affirming a restless commitment to experimentation.
