Cheia De Charme (Spiller Remixes)

Description

A staple of Spiller’s DJ sets over the past few years, his rework of Guilherme Arantes’ “Cheia de Charme” finally receives an official release. Spiller immediately fell in love with the Brazilian classic, reworked it and has loved playing it ever since. It also became one of the most requested track IDs in his sets. Although Arantes quickly approved the remix, securing official clearance took five years of emails and bureaucracy between offices in Italy, England and Brazil. The journey highlights the obstacles that still surround music licensing. At a time when technology makes it increasingly easy to recreate samples and stems, AI can generate entire releases, bootlegs are widely available for sale and streaming platforms dictate royalty rates, clearing an authorised remix can still take years. These barriers serve neither artists nor labels, often delaying the very releases everyone involved wants to see happen. With clearance finally secured, “Cheia de Charme (Spiller Remixes)” marks a small but hard-earned victory, now yours to enjoy.
