The war between humanity and AI is over. AI lost. Humanity lost everything else. The nuclear fire intended to erase machine intelligence also brought human civilisation to its knees. Centuries later, something new walks the Earth: Post-Nuclear Dystopian Quasi-Human Beings, a new species, immune to the old world's poisons. Posthumaner Rundfunk is a transmission from this distant future, beamed backwards through time in the hope that we might still get our act together, embrace one another, and avoid the whole fucking mess. Its frequencies capture the sonic remnants of a civilisation after civilisation: experimental transmissions drifting between ambient and noise, fragments of a world that might be ours, or might already be lost. The transmission is further scrambled and reassembled by two relentlessly over-the-top remixes from sound artist and Gesamtkünstler Russell Haswell, while the cover, by acclaimed German painter and master of enigmatic worlds Neo Rauch, offers a visual riddle in which everything - and nothing - reveals itself anew with every encounter. The release materialises in two distinct vinyl editions: a transparent pressing with lilac splatter, and an ultra-limited run of just 100 glow-in-the-dark copies, allegedly manufactured from radioactive matter recovered from the distant future and subsequently, if somewhat suspiciously, de-radioactivated. Whether warning, prophecy, or a transmission from an alternate tomorrow, Posthumaner Rundfunk is broadcasting. The question is whether anyone is still listening.
