Save Me (Do It Now) / Impulses (7")

Description

The dynamic duo of WeeG and Si Cheeba find time from their busy DJ and radio schedules to get together in the studio for another two sides of cross genre beats - reflecting the variety of their live vinyl selections : “Save Me (Do it Now)” …is NOT a version of the classic soul track made famous by Aretha and covered by many more - but it IS a gospel drenched dancefloor bomb ! Based on some heavy testifying preaching, interspersed with funky female vocals riding on a piano led riff - whilst bouncing to a 4/4 beat. It’s a tune for Saturday night party people invoking a Sunday morning baptist experience. Both the surgeons have been dropping the dubplates to great response in various clubs, bars and festivals over the summer. “Impulses” The flip takes an abstract journey through soundtrack strings, sonic science lessons and Afro style vocals dropping in and out. The beat is on a head nodding tip - morphing into double time b-boy breaks and back again. It’s been getting a great response in the listening bars and early doors club settings
