VM↝ LP

Description

South Korean-born, Berlin-based soo:k returns to SWIMS with VM↝, following her 2025 debut Orchadia, praised by DJ Mag for its “glistening compositions” and described by The Slow Music Movement as “an assured, adventurous and immersive debut”. Building on the intricate, occasionally uncanny world of Orchadia, the new album finds a more harmonious emotional register. Sparse acoustic forms and layered electronics overlap and blur like a palimpsest: impressions of places once known, gradually reshaped into something new. Across ten pieces, sounds gather, dissolve and reappear in a hazy landscape of memory and imagination. A strong fit for shops specialising in ambient, electroacoustic and exploratory electronic music, particularly for customers drawn to detailed, imaginative listening rather than purely functional background ambience.
