This Is Riyality 2x12

Description

* Strictly limited-edition 2LP vinyl in full colour sleeve with full colour inner sleeves. Shrinkwrapped. * One of Drum & Bass’ most recognisable voices returns with her third studio album, ‘This Is Riyality’ – a deeply personal record that finds Riya making the album she’s wanted to create on V Recordings for years. * Written chronologically across the past five to seven years, the thirteen-track album documents a period of profound change in Riya’s life, from loss and heartbreak to new beginnings, friendships and rediscovering herself through music. Songwriting has always been her therapy, but she writes in the hope that listeners will find themselves in her songs. * Features collaborations with Bladerunner, Crystal Clear, Zero T, Minor Forms, L-Side, Motiv, Level 2, Sl8r, Melinki, Etherwood, The Vanguard Project, Quadrant & Iris and Auris, plus guest appearances from DRS, Gemma Rose, Collette Warren, Alex Hill and Voice MC. * From her early work with Lenzman, Total Science and Hybrid Minds to a catalogue spanning CIA Records, Metalheadz, Toolroom, Shogun Audio and now V Recordings, the double Drum&BassArena Award winner has established herself as one of the scene’s most distinctive writers and vocalists. * Rather than chasing one particular sound, the album embraces the full spectrum of modern Drum & Bass – from soulful liquid moments to heavyweight rollers – with every track united by Riya’s songwriting. * “I really hope people listen to it from start to finish. They’ll hear how things have worked out over the past five to seven years. I write from real experiences, but I always hope people hear their own story in the songs too.” – Riya * ‘This Is Riyality’ is Riya’s most personal work to date, bringing together the people, experiences and music that have shaped the last chapter of her life.
