Facing Your Enemy

Description

Exceptional 4-tracker of brooding house and techno from Lerosa, star of releases on Ostgut Ton, Ferox, Enclave, and D1, and live and DJ performances from Tresor and Fabric to the Open Ear festival on Sherkin Island. The A-side opens with “Facing Your Enemy”, an insistent deep house burner stacked on a gritty bouncing groove that builds and builds, followed by the smokey, atmospheric “Shimmer” - an atmospheric dream from another dimension. On the flip side, “Corners” is a crisp and fresh groove with just enough hint of chords to give it a lift, leading on to “Outrun” which closes out the EP - evolving acid, overlaid with haunting overtones.. weird, unsettling - perfect for these times. 220 copies on coloured vinyl, hand-stamped and hand-numbered. “Absolutely loved it.. top tier.. deep, melancholic, and perfect. 10/10 from me” Russ Gabriel (Ferox) “****ing banging EP! Serious techno done with real flair and confidence.” Tom Churchill (Headspace, DiY)
