The title itself is a subtle nod to the dusty grooves of the mid-nineties East Coast era, whose melancholic warmth is interwoven here with dense, atmospheric soundscapes. It is the sound of a present that thrives on memories. Where today's music world often demands clinical uniformity, this record refuses to sound polished. It crackles in the grooves and digital data streams, yet it is not a bleak place. The physical sound of the needle cuts through the here and now, drawing us into an intermediate world that carries the echo of analog pioneers. This proud refusal to forget is also reflected in the visual concept, which consistently carries forward the record’s raw retro aesthetic. The front cover features a portrait shot by Heine himself: an unfiltered direct-flash snapshot from 2025, a raw, fleeting moment for which his friend willingly gave his consent. Viennese artist and filmmaker Jennifer Mattes disrupts this analog realism. Known for her multimedia works at the intersection of digital art and pop culture, she embeds the layout within a minimalist, deep black universe. Her neon-green, 8-bit style graphics drift across the visual release like cosmic dust. Retro-futuristic pixel elements, rockets, and cryptic symbols float through the darkness, a visual reconstruction of old arcade days that perfectly captures the spirit of lost futures.
