Remember You Are Here EP

Description

Stuart Evans has spent years behind the desk at Glasgow's Green Door Studio, mixing acts like Golden Teacher and Belle & Sebastian. When he steps out as Sordid Sound System, then, you expect something warped, and so it proves to be on this new EP to mark the hallowed Is It Balearic's 20th anniversary. The title track drifts and wobbles with a few wise words muttered through the haze. Belfast hero David Holmes then turns it into a thumping mid-tempo stomper with the vocals up front. 'Dawn of the Dub' is post-punk dub, 'A Wild Sheep Chase' stretches out and relaxes and 'Santa Muerte' sails by like a ghost pirate ship. Happy birthday to one of the best.
