Constant Black 40

Description

Constant Black, presumably named because it offers an endless supply of great wax, is back with more of just that. This 40th EP in the catalogue curated by UK tech house treasure Burnski is a split, with Pascal Benjamin taking side-A. 'Acoustics FM' glistens as icy, glassy synths shimmer away over a percussive, bubbly, hiccuping groove with driving bass. 'Take Your Time' worms its way into your psyche with whispered vocals that drift in and out of focus as the blamy pads float over crisp beats. 'Dub Poort' is then deep and cool, before Makz kicks off with the West Coast tech house swagger of 'Mind Yo Bizznezz'. 'Cacophony' and 'Proper' close with a knowing bit of naughtiness.
