Description
GNMR returns to his own label, Dubblack, with ‘i fiumi di mercurio’, his second release on the imprint following DBB001 in 2022. Five tracks connect deep, hypnotic techno with ambient through spoken fragments, suspended melodies and heavy grooves. Opener ‘la donna nel cielo’ and the beatless ‘sveglia (resolution mix)’ offer breathing space around the restless physicality of ‘because’, ‘the duck’ and ‘sveglia’. A personal record about transformation and the uneasy promise of escape, made for close listening and the dancefloor.
