Synesis EP [Stickered Sleeve]

Description

This second release on Concrete Soul is all about showing the other side of the label. Where the Weeks & Weeks EP showed the warmth, Synesis EP goes somewhere darker. Four tracks focused more on continuity and groove, exploring the point where house and techno start moving closer together. Synesis refers to the coming together of different ideas and experiences to form a greater understanding. For me, this EP sits right at that point. It connects the years I spent developing my sound through techno with the direction I'm moving in now. Rather than leaving that past behind, I wanted to take parts of it with me and give them a new context. The result is something that feels familiar, but points towards what's next. Courage (Revival) closes it out. It's been one of my most requested IDs from my techno years, and for a long time it only existed as a one-and-a-half-minute render. I finally finished it, reworking the original to fit my new direction while keeping what made people connect with it in the first place. For those who feel the ground.
