the munkedal tapes LP

Description

Kallerdahl/Lindgård/Ward returns with a new album, recorded during an intimate three-day session on Sweden’s west coast. Pianist Fabian Kallerdahl (Musicmusicmusic), bassist Albin Lindgård, and drummer Ossian Ward capture the trio’s spontaneous, deeply interactive sound—where first instincts matter more than perfection. Blending original compositions with surprising nods to Wagner and Chopin, the album showcases a playful, lyrical, and fearless piano trio at its best. Released as a limited-edition LP on October 30, it follows the trio’s acclaimed live recordings and marks their most refined work to date. Since 2021, Kallerdahl/Lindgård/Ward has won audiences with its warm, adventurous, and highly responsive approach, performing everywhere from jazz clubs to art galleries and festivals.
