Description
Shallow Fantasies is a cinematic collection of songs that unfolds like a late-night journey through longing, memory and imagined realities. Drawing on the stark atmosphere of northern Britain, echoes of early ’60s pop, Manchester’s music of the 80s, post punk, vintage soul and shadowy guitar music, the album carves out a timeless sound, distinctly British at its core. Across ten songs, moments of tenderness sit alongside uncertainty, nostalgia and the pull of illusion. Love, lost futures and fractured identities drift through dreamlike landscapes, exploring the fragile space between fantasy and reality, connection and isolation, memory and imagination. Shallow Fantasies invites the listener into a world suspended somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow, where every reflection tells a different story and nothing is quite as it first appears. In 2017, the Ramoneurs' fire is not extinguished and their meeting with bagad Bro Kemperle gives birth to an explosive fourth album, more assertive than ever. Like the essential Louise Ebrel, the musicians of the bagad have merged their energies with electric rhythms for wild dances, daring exchanges, assertive songs, shared values, winks to the past and a Yes Future vision !
