The Meeting

Description

Undoubtedly one of the most exciting jazz discoveries of recent months, celebrated by both the guardians of the tradition and an audience hungry for new sensations, AMG (Antoine Fleury, Keïta Janota, Anthony Jouravsky and Mailo Rakotonanahary) offers its own take on a music that has yet to stop reinventing itself — a sound that is fiery, deeply rooted and fiercely contemporary. Having won every competition they have entered, culminating in the prestigious Concours National de Jazz de La Défense, performed on the stages of Jazz à la Villette and Rock en Seine, and played in three legendary New York jazz clubs, as well as in Casablanca and Istanbul, AMG are entering a decisive new chapter in their rise. With their new album 'The Meeting', the band firmly establishes itself as one of the leading groups of its generation. The new studio album features nine outstanding original compositions, produced by Tony Tixier and mixed and mastered in New York by Dave Darlington (Ambrose Akinmusire, Wayne Shorter).
