Description

Curious by nature, JORGE HARO is a composer and sound designer, a pioneer in Latin America in the field of minimalist/abstract music, among other genres. Hybris (H-spout NRO.2) brings together part of his material released between 2001 and 2005. Side A showcases his work in the more minimalist realm. The character of the tracks invites us to reflect on the technique and the physical material being worked with: waves. “U_xy” in particular was composed in situ at the @LEM Festival in 2005. Tracks A1 and A3 are part of Música 200(0), an album later presented at renowned festivals such as Mutek and Sónar, both in Argentina and across Europe, more than 20 years ago. The reworks explore different nuances, leaning more towards musical development and the interplay of textures and rhythm.
