Laurent Pernice has been making records since the late 80s, drifting between ambient, industrial and post-punk without ever quite landing in one place. Old Beloved Creatures pulls four deep cuts from thirty years of that work, from Martichore, a 1996 cut, to Alicanto, each one named after a beast out of Jorge Luis Borges’ Book of Imaginary Beings. Hidden in the corners of a long catalogue, across small labels and a theatre piece, this is the first time they come together and land on vinyl.
