WRWTFWW Records is jumping with joy as they announce the first ever vinyl release for an albm by one-man-band extraordinaire Logan Hone! The joy-inducing feel-very-very-good album Dance of Delight comes as a limited edition LP with bonus tracks and a heavyweight sleeve. This homespun mixtape highlights Logan's one-person-band vision, centered around his alto saxophone. Warm and lyrical, with a tone inspired by Johnny Hodges, his sax bursts with joyful phrases separated by little pockets of space, where you can easily imagine him dancing. Also prominently featured are his Casio keyboard "steam vent" patch which sounds like a barrel-organ and his 1920s hodgepodge drum set, usually played with nylon brushes, keeps things buoyant. "Honeycomb" sets the scene with a cheery groove and smiling saxophone, before a surprisingly fat car-rattling bass kicks in at the end; "Dancing Giddy" races forward with hockey-paced energy and a jumping melody that shifts through major keys; "Dance of Delight" sparkles with three irresistible hooks, set to an infectious cumbia inspired by LA backyard parties and long drives with Viva 103.1 on the radio; "Far Far Away" leans back, turns up the bass, and features warbly guitars and a starlit saxophone that stomps bold and playful alongside a sweet flute choir; and "Snowy Step," brings in close collaborator K Pasta on acoustic bass guitar, pairing Prince-inspired jazz-pop with shimmering keyboards and firework-like hands-in-the-air splashes. This special LP version contains 4 amazing extra tracks previously not available on Logan's original EP version of Dance of Delight that lean into whimsical cartoon energy. "At Home At Last" is a delightfully sweet lofi cumbia perfect for Grandma's radio at breakfast time. "Eating a Tangerine" turns up the bass again with a flute choir bright as citrus playing a cheery tune. "Tree Lined Streets" is a psychedelic cakewalk with hints of Logan's interest & experiments in ragtime. And "Thank You for Listening!" is a brief final coda: bumpin dance music for a final moment of thanks. Joy-forward instrumentalism! Imaginative music making! Full-bodied musical flow! Wishing you MUSICAL ABUNDANCE!
