Craigie Knowes proudly present you the Lawnmower Apocalypse EP, a mighty follow-up to Glasgow Sound System’s debut EP ‘Spells’ released earlier this year. This spectacular sequel spans the dance music spectrum – from a new-age take on the forgotten sounds of electroclash on title track ‘Lawnmower Apocalypse’, to the nihilistic Glaswegian club sounds of “Room Without Corners”, to the devastatingly powerful jungle motifs on “Dubplate Damage”. The Lawnmower Apocalypse EP is a fitting memorial to the Glasgow Sound System project that was centred on unbounded creative expression and technically elite sonic craftsmanship. Harvey McKay’s passion for this project prior to his painfully untimely passing was immense – the enthusiasm and attention to detail he brimmed with in relation to this project were palpable. All profits generated by both the Lawnmower Apocalypse EP and the Spells EP will be donated to Harvey McKay’s estate. His family have made plans for the money to be put to good use in the community via projects that align with Harvey’s lifelong love affair with electronic music.
