Description
One of WOLF’s original artists, Medlar makes a welcome return to the label, teaming up once again with co-owner Stu Clark. Building on their previous collaboration, the pair deliver two original cuts, accompanied by a pair of remixes from Nail, a bona fide legend of the UK house scene. Bursting onto the scene in 2011 with the now classic Terrell on WOLF, Medlar quickly established himself with his distinctive blend of warm, sample-driven production, infectious grooves and soulful melodies. His debut album, Sleep, further cemented his reputation as a producer with a sound all his own, with a catalogue of releases and collaborations since showcasing his versatility and enduring creativity. Taking on remix duties is Nail, aka Neil Tolliday, the Nottingham-born DJ and producer whose roots in underground house stretch back to the early ’90s. Emerging from the city’s influential DiY collective, Nail has since released on an impressive roster of labels, including Classic, Robsoul Recordings, Traxx Underground and Fear of Flying. It’s a real honour to have him on board, bringing his unmistakable touch to two standout remixes.
