Secrets

Description

Patrick Sullivan aka P-Sol continues to use the hush-hush Brooklyn Lathe Cuts imprint to deliver ultra-limited releases featuring, as he describes them, "whole tire roasted edits ready for hot dancefloors". On 'Secrets', the title track from the label's latest missive, Sullivan re-frames a blue-eyed soul/yacht rock delight as a squelchy bass propelled chunk of beatdown style mid-tempo house warmth. He continues in this toe-tapping, head-nodding vein on flip-side 'Fooling Me', a languid and shuffling take on a heavily orchestrated disco delight spliced and looped to perfection. Inventive, tried and tested re-edits with a touch of original production - more please!
