Edits & Re Works Vol 3

Description

Nenor is one of the few artists not from the 313 area code to have released on Moodymann's legendary Mahogani label, as well as others like Defected. That should give you an indication that he knows how to bring the soul to his music, and so it proves here. The A side is a swinging, chopped up, sample-heavy sound that is frayed and loose with wonky piano motifs, funky vocals and live-sounding drums that never settle. 'Free' is much more of a sing-along anthem with big swing, happy piano rolls and the sort of energy that brings to mind the cheerful scenes of resolution you get at the end of a feel-good rom-com.
