Gespenst

Description

Nearly a decade after their debut album featuring the underground hits 'Die Gestalten' and 'Kommando Limmerstrasse', Der Nachtportier return with their new record, 'Gespenst'. While the debut was firmly rooted in Minimal Wave, this new chapter marks a bold sonic evolution, infusing those foundations with experimental elements of Noise and Jazz. The album is a deeply personal journey back into the artist’s childhood fears, weaving in original tape recordings from his own youth. Drawing inspiration from eerie nursery rhymes and his time as a forensic psychologist, 'Gespenst' manifests as a haunting concept album.
