Sleep D and Mosam Howieson join forces for an EP that traverses peak-time pressure and deep hypnotic terrain. Opening with ‘Syphon Filter’, a monstrous techno steam train that sparked the collaboration for the record, starting over five years ago. Industrial klanging to a banging beat. Simple and effective. Chugging along, ‘Inertia’ and ‘Mirror Pool’ offer respite with a psychedelic and emotive strain of techno. Rounding out the release, Dutch producer Konduku reshapes one Mirror Pool into a stripped-back, fluid remix. Refracting the source material through his distinctive palette.
