Description
On the A-side, Hofmann opens with a dubby, floaty dreamer, drifting beneath sunny skies and singing birds, while A2 explores a more mischievous side of the music. Both tracks feature his voice as a synth, adding a playful and distinctive touch to the productions. On the B-side, their good friend Picasso opens with a quirky, after-hours minimalistic floater, keeping the dance floor in check. The track is based on the live jam featured on B2 by Hofmann’s brothers, Fabrice & Arnaud. The Manifest was recorded live in a single, unbroken take during a spontaneous winter evening in 2025. It captures Arnaud and his older brother, Fabrice, suspended in a moment of pure improvisation inside Arnaud’s apartment in Antwerp, using an Octatrack MK1, Yamaha DX7, Prophet 08, a microphone, and a copy of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Part live jam, part spoken-word experiment, the recording unfolds as a continuous exchange between voice, machines, and chance. Nothing was rehearsed or edited—just a single moment, documented in full.
