Grey Matter EP

Description

LILAS008 — Vlad Ioachimescu For its eighth chapter, Lilas Records shines the spotlight on a rising voice in the UK underground scene: Vlad Ioachimescu. Originally from Romania and now based in the UK, Vlad has steadily built a respected name through hypnotic selections and a distinctive minimal sound. With a background rooted in early hip-hop culture before moving into electronic music, he carves his own path between deep minimalism and dancefloor energy. His productions balance precise drum work, subtle vocal textures, wavey synth layers and rolling basslines — precision without coldness, groove without compromise. On Grey Matter EP, he delivers four original tracks that encapsulate this philosophy. Feather-light percussion meets driving low-end, wrapped in immersive atmospheres and delicate spatial play. Fragments of voice and radio transmissions surface throughout, while the closing Fedo remix of “Star Explosion” densifies the textures and pushes the groove further. Here, minimalism is no longer austere — it becomes expressive, hypnotic and profoundly human. Limited to an exclusive run of 200 copies, this release has already garnered support from key figures in the underground scene. LILAS008 stands poised to leave its mark on the global underground music scene.
