No Use for a Name was a melodic punk band from San Jose, California blending blistering skate-punk speeds with deeply melancholic, unforgettable pop melodies. What began as a scrappy late-80s hardcore act grew into a defining pillar of the 90s punk rock explosion, earning fans through relentless international touring and releases that perfectly balance grit and heart. Drawing comparisons to Lagwagon, Millencolin, and Strung Out, No Use for a Name pairs introspective, emotionally raw lyrics with fast-paced, harmony-driven arrangements built for sweaty club shows and massive circle pits.
