Description

Perseus Traxx joins the company of some exceptional producers on the prolific and dynamic French label Partout, with a document which is varied, as the label name suggests, while remaining cohesive. Side A opens with a sense of raw analogue power, and the driving rhythms and arpeggios of “Urgency”, before giving way to the lighter feeling, woody DX tones of “Find Your Space” where everything has a chance to breath more. The flip side carries on with the cleaner DX/FM sounds with the livelier programming of “Tinge”, before moving back to the more analogue, Laurent Garnier supported “Hotpoint”, a more stripped back, nostalgic, early Chicago house style jam, with a name and sound clearly nodding in the direction of Mr Fingers’ “Washing Machine”.
